Hello everybody! Today I’m continuing on with my Spring trends collection (of posts, earlier this week I posted about Spring Lipstick Looks, which you can read here. This nail look is one that I think would be perfect this Spring, and also really love for those months in between Winter and Spring.
I started off with a clear coat by Maybelline. I always start off my nails with a clear coat, just to protect my nails a bit from the varnish. Preferrably I would use an actual base coat which is better for protecting your nails, but I couldn’t find one lying around so I opted for a clear coat. Better than nothing I supposed!
The colour I picked out for this piece is called ‘Princess’ by Revlon. There are a couple of things I really love about it. Firstly, the colour- it’s perfect for colour trends this Spring because I think it really compliments this year’s Spring colour palettes (which feature the usual Spring colours, just in deeper tones). I also love that it has a bit of a shimmer to it, not really a sparkle which I hate wearing because they’re so hard to get off. It has a kind of matte, shimmer finish to it which is kind of strange but really pretty. The finish is perfect I think because even if I’m wearing a similar blue colour (like I am today!) it doesn’t look like I’ve tried to match it exactly.
Let me know what your favourite nail polishes for Spring are in the comments below! I still need a colour for my toenails. 😊 Next up in my Spring Trends Collection will be Spring Fashion Trends with collages from Alexa Chung’s Villoid app. It will feature mostly high end brands to help guide you on the trends without being too limiting. I always find it’s easier for me to base my outfits off of inspiration from luxury brands and then go to some more affordable brands to pick out things I like best that fit the style, I think it’s a bit more creative that way!
