Christmas came to Edinburgh many weeks ago when the Christmas Market opened and the shops and restaurants put out their fairy lights and decorations. Even though I’m *SUCH* a homebody in the winter, seeing the lights and bows and decorations in the city is one of my favourite things ever. Really brightens up the dark winter ✨

Today’s election day! As a commonwealth immigrant I get to VOTE, unlike many other tax-paying residents of this country! So I was at our polling station at 8am this morning🌤I found it super easy to pick who to vote for in this election as our constituency has a leader who has been doing an excellent job already. Even on a greater scale it’s easy to know how I want this election to go. And I think it’s easy for everyone else to see how I want the election to go too, but I have to admit I have little faith. 🤭 Here’s hoping! Drinks at mine tomorrow either way, I’m whipping out the cocktail shaker.

#Throwback Cordelia and I serving fierce looks. Don’t tell my grandma’s but I’m saddest about not seeing Cordie dog this Christmas. It’s my first Christmas *ever* not being at home, and we’re a big family with big Christmas traditions, I really never thought a Christmas would come where we didn’t spend it together! It’s WEIRD. But I feel better knowing I’m not the only one missing and that I’ll get to see some of them at the New Year. ✨Have you had any weird life revelations where you’re like “huh I’m an adult and that’s weird” lately? I think the end of the year is the time for it. And the end of the decade! We’re all realising that 2000 was 20 years ago, and 1980 was 40(!)🤯

Had the best time at the @incounters @houseofgodshotel Christmas social! The hotel decor is mind blowing and I really want to book a room now 😂It’s so nice to go to an event that promotes meeting new people and building community, we all went on tours with strangers and still all had such fun! Broke down the awkwardness in a few minutes and then we had a lovely time making jokes about what may or may not be going on in the rooms 🤭All that said: look at my tired eyes in this picture. Christmas is already taking it’s toll on me. 🤶🏻Forgive me for being a little MIA, I swear I’m always here lurking in the background, appreciating everyone else’s Christmas content 🎄🥂

#Invited | I had a wonderful evening yesterday with @tigerlilyedinburgh ✨I got to try the Tinsel Town, Gingerbread Man and Caught in the Rain cocktails, all hand crafted by Joey Medrington for the festive season! The Gingerbread Man was my fav but I am a sucker for a good gin cocktail, and I’m looking forward to trying some more over the Christmas season 🥂🍸🍹Shall I make it my goal to try all 36 across their venues before Hogmanay? #TigerlilyCocktails #EdinburghBars

Winter Mode Activated!!!!!!!! I spent both weekend mornings walking along the frosty canal and nothing could be better. ❄️ I love to be an early riser on the weekends so I can make the most of my time off and try to actually enjoy winter. Sightseeing at Murrayfield 🤩 Angus felt awkward all day because he was wearing a tie and he felt overdressed in Gorgie (he was, but boy did he look handsome).
