Alex Steinherr Primark Range Review

Maximum Moisture Cream and Sleep Spa Eye Mask
Processed with VSCO with e2 preset
I’ll admit I didn’t really know who Alex Steinherr was, apart from the fact that she’s pals with Estee Lalonde, and I wouldn’t have known about this range if it weren’t for Instagram. So, full thanks to Estee for helping me discover my new FAVOURITE skincare products because I am blown away! I first heard about them on Instagram, and people were commenting on the photo asking things like “are these products vegan?” and “do you test on animals?” and I thought cmon guys, don’t get your hopes up, it’s a Primark range. Well, jokes on me because they are both vegan, and animal testing-free! I didn’t think those things were possible for such an affordable range, but that just goes to show that it is!…

Makeup Muses: Emma Watson

IMG_2413
Emma Watson is widely regarded as a beautiful woman. Perhaps it’s because we all collectively still see her as our beloved Hermione, or perhaps it’s because she’s been blessed with the beauty genes… Regardless, I love that she doesn’t let the obsession with her looks dictate her beauty routine. Instead, she carves her own path, and challenges herself to fill her makeup bag with cruelty free, eco-friendly, and natural products. At premiers she still makes bold statements, pushes boundaries, and takes risks, meanwhile day to day she focuses on simply enhancing who she is rather than molding her face to the current trends. More than a makeup muse, Emma Watson is my ultimate beauty inspiration.

Budget Beauty Guide to L'Occitane

Processed with VSCO with kg1 preset
L’Occitane is one of my all time favourite beauty brands. They have products in every price range, they have a long and positive relationship with their buyers, and they make all of their products with care in France. This article already sounds like it’s sponsored but I promise it’s not! If I WAS sponsored by L’Occitane, I’d be screaming it from the hilltops. Sigh, a girl can dream. I’ve been buying from L’Occitane for a few years now, so I thought I would share with you a little guide to their best products on a budget….

NARS Wanted Palette Review

I’ve been on the hunt for an excellent peachy toned eyeshadow palette for awhile now. I didn’t want to buy the really popular ones like the Too Faced Sweet Peach or Kylie Cosmetics because they either had colours I didn’t like, or I’ve been disappointed by their palettes before (whoops)! When Nars announced the Wanted palette I was instantly hooked. Luckily there was a VIB sale at Sephora right when it dropped so I got it with $20 off!! SO HAPPY. Now let’s see if it lives up to all my hopes and dreams……

Best Beauty Products to Beat Dry Skin

Ho ho ho it’s winter yall. Winter means one thing and one thing only for me: dry. skin. It’s hitting me full force this year; I currently have tiny bumps all over my chin, an eczema patch on my forehead, and disintegrating lips. It doesn’t sound like I actually know how to manage dry skin by that description, but I promise I just haven’t been on top of my game lately. This article is a reminder to me, on how to manage the winter weather when your skin gets dry as all heck. Maybe you’ll find it useful too! (Hopefully!) CHECK IT OUT:

Review | L'Occitane Shea Light Face Cream

L’Occitane’s Shea Light Face Cream (5%) is my FAVOURITE face cream for the winter months. I actually had to go back and check that I hadn’t reviewed this product already because it SHOCKS me that it’s not on here yet! This is my holy grail moisturizer. I have combination skin, but it’s reaaaally sensitive so I usually get dry patches and eczema spots on my face in the colder, drier winter months. Conversely, if I use a heavier face cream my face gets really oily feeling throughout the day, and my makeup just melts right off. My solution? L’Occitane’s Shea (light) Face Cream.

Back to School Beauty Guide

It’s that time again! I think I’m the only one who’s actually extremely excited to go back to school, so I thought why not write up a little beauty guide to make the tough transition from summer vacation back to school a little easier. Some of these are necessities (if you ask me anyway), and some of these are just little pamper recommendations to help you relax and keep that skin glowing through the stressful first few days.
