2018: A Year In Review

2018 was a big one for me. I graduated, I moved out of my family home, I travelled a ton, I started new jobs, and I met a bunch of new people. I can look back at myself a year ago and see someone who had no idea what the future held, who was unsure of what she wanted to do, and even more unsure of how to achieve the things she knew she wanted. Today I am far less afraid of the unknown, I embrace it and look forward to it and just hope to be lucky enough to get to experience more of it. This year has changed everything about me, from the hair on my head the very essence of my outlook on life. Here’s what happened, maybe after reading you’ll be able to understand why I’ve become such a different person in such a short period of time.

Moving To The U.K. Q+A

Before I moved, I asked on my Instagram for anyone with any questions about my move. In case you missed it – at the beginning of September I relocated from my northern Ontario home, across the Atlantic Ocean, to my new home in Edinburgh, Scotland. Instagram did not disappoint in their questions, and finally after spending a few days here I filmed a little Q+A (my first like this!) to answer some of your burning questions. At the very least, I speak candidly about why I decided to move, and what it really meant for me, what the biggest challenges were, and how I approached it considering I’ve lived with a relatively severe anxiety disorder for my whole life! Watch below.

Do you have any questions for me that weren’t answer in the video? Let me know! I finally have a job here, and at least a lead on an apartment, and ONE whole new friend.

VLOG: Trinity Bellwoods and Tattoos

I know it’s technically blogmas but hear me out okay! This is a video I made from my trip to Toronto back in October and it’s really cute and makes me laugh a lot so I wanted to share it with you.
It shows some of my favourite places in Toronto and has a lil bit of the Harry Styles concert, a lil bit of a tattoo and so many other funny memories!

Moments Behind the Blog Day 6:
Behind this video specifically: when we were at Screemers (a haunted fair) and we went into the very first haunted house the very first scare scared my friend SO BADLY that she jumped fully into the air. We were linked at our arms and she fully jumped with her feet out to the side to defend herself. It killed me and I spent the rest of the walk through just dying with laughter instead of being scared by things, it still makes me laugh.
Your question of the day: Have you ever been to Toronto? Have you been anywhere in Canada?! Thoughts?

Explore Thunder Bay | Kakabeka Falls

Spring has SPRUNG! I think it’s about time I hit you all with another post about my hometown. I’ve been trying to slowly showcase some of my favourite places around town – you can check out my other posts & videos here. 😊

Last night Tyler and I decided to head out to Kakabeka Falls for a little date night. Kakabeka Falls is about 20-30 minutes outside of Thunder Bay driving out on Oliver Rd past Murillo. It’s an adorable little township with the absolute best waterfalls in Northern Ontario. The waterfalls are lined with really well kept trails and sight seeing spots.

There’s a little bridge – one for walking and one for driving – that goes across the waterfalls to more trails on the opposite side. Kakabeka Falls is also home to some favourite hiking spots in town. You can do a short hike to a place called “Little Falls” where there’s a very tall but low-flow waterfall (perfect for adventuring on!) Since it was already around 7pm we didn’t do any hiking but I’ll certainly be going back soon 😊…

Lifestyle | Meet My Hometown!

Hi friends! I had a bit of a break from Youtube for awhile because of exams, this week I wanted to get back into it. I decided to do another vlog and take you all to a few of my favourite places around my hometown! Living on the north shore of Lake Superior means there’s no shortage of absolutely stunning places to visit around town – in this video I show you the places where people go cliff jumping, where I go star gazing and the Terry Fox Lookout. I wanted to show you guys places that would be very different to anything that you have in your own hometown 🙂 AND! I brought my dogs with me, so watch it for them. They’re the best. I even wrote a blog post about them, you can read that here. ♡

Don’t forget to like the video and join my subscribers if you enjoy it! I’d love to have you around 🙂

Photography | A Photo Study on Winter Days

Hi guys! Last week I spent a little time out at Centennial Park in Thunder Bay, Ontario with my dogs 😊I went for a snowshoe and they went for a walk but it was so beautiful I couldn’t help but snap a few pictures.

This will be my last winter appreciation post for awhile… and I as pretty as it is, I think I’m okay with that 🙂
