Mac’s Select Cover Up concealer is one of my absolute favourite high-coverage concealer. On MAC’s website it’s rated at 4.5/5. After using it religiously for a few months, I can totally see why. I’ve been using this concealer for months, so I’ve tried applying it a few different ways and I’m finally ready to post my MAC Select Cover Up Review! If you’re looking for a high coverage concealer to cover redness or under eye circles, look no further.
I first fell in love with MAC’s Face and Body foundation because it’s packaging looked so cool and professional. And… I wanted to be the kind of person who owned and used that kind of makeup (guilty!). I’m not going to lie, the first time I saw it was on Perrie Edward’s Makeup Tutorial, and I commented asking what she used because (obv) she looked like a dream. A lovely fellow viewer cued me in on the Face + Body foundation (and the select cover up, there’s a review coming for that too!). Ever since it’s been on my wishlist. I’ve been using it for months now, and I think it’s about time I posted an in depth MAC Face + Body Foundation review.
I’m not one for ‘monthly favourites’ videos or posts, but I thought a review of all of my favourite ‘holy grail’ beauty products from 2016 would be a good way to share my all-time favourites! So here you have it, my holy grail beauty products of 2016:
The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder is a product that’s fairly trendy, and quite expensive. I bought the individual compact in the shade “Luminous Light” from Sephora in June. I won’t lie, it was a complete impulse purchase. I’ve wanted it ever since I heard about it in one of Zoella’s makeup tutorials (I’m basic, I know). When I saw it in the store, it was too pretty and glowy to pass by, so here we are. Unfortunately, when a big name like that recommends it, you’re still not 100% sure about the product. Shopping online for glasses can be a struggle. I recently purchased a second pair of glasses for ‘back to school.’ Basically, I bought my original set of glasses from my optometry office, they were hella expensive and hella generic and I wanted something more distinctive but I didn’t want to spend another $400. (Yikes – thank god for coverage am I right?!) Like all things that I want to buy for cheap, I looked online. Shopping for glasses online is not straightforward. Glasses also aren’t the sort of thing you can go ‘good enough!’ with. I found a few different eye glasses websites but decided to go with ‘EyeBuyDirect’ for a few reasons.
I’m not going to lie to you, I’m really not a skincare type of person. That’s not to say I don’t have my fair amount of issues with my skin. It’s incredibly sensitive, breaks out in eczema patches, I have chronic under eye circles, and constantly chapped lips. However, I’m convinced that anytime I try to play around and fix any of these problems, I always end up worse off than before. Michaela reached out to me to sample some of her products and write a Rodan + Fields Review, and I was relieved for the guidance she gave me! And, I’ll be honest, for the opportunity to see if these products work for me before having to buy the full product.
