The kudd.ly™ kloud slides Review | AD

This blog post contains paid content, all opinions and reviews remain my own.

My poor, poor feet have been suffering in the hot summer. I broke my only good pair of sandals two years ago, and have been basically rotating through sneakers on a hot day to make sure I don’t get too many blisters in one spot. Enter: the kudd.ly kloud slides.

The slides are for indoor or outdoor use, so loads of people use them as slippers. Even better, as those shoes you can wear inside and outside for quick trips like when you need to take the bins out – what else are slides for? Well, for me, they’re for blister days and travelling. When I know my feet are going to be hot or hurting, I wear the kudd.ly kloud slides.

Without sounding corny, they really do feel like walking on clouds! They’re so soft and cushy, it’s such a nice feeling taking off sweaty sneakers and switching into these. Literally like giving your feet a breath of fresh air!

I’m off to London to celebrate my birthday at the end of July and I’ll definitely be packing my kudd.ly kloud slides. They’re so light and airy so they’re easy to pack away. I know it’s going to be super hot when I’m there too, and I *need* to pack a pair of shoes that my feet can wear for hours without getting blisters (or to wear *after* the blisters of the birthday heels have set in!).

What are your comfiest pair of shoes for the summer?!

My Classic Wedding Outfit

In my mind I’ve worn a thousand different outfits to my wedding. A tea length dress with a ballet tulle skirt, very Dégas. A white dress and leather jacket, heels not included. A sleek two piece outfit, no top underneath because I’m chic and risquée. The very real short, sparkly, 70s style minidress I saw online but couldn’t track down. These flitted in and out of ideas of weddings I had but never planned, with men and women I’ve never known or met. Just daydreams, really! And the real thing couldn’t have been more different. In my dreams, my outfit was so clear. The aesthetic was there. In real life, it was a bit of a jumble to get to the classic wedding outfit I ended up with. Let me explain.

arcticsabrina - how to start wearing more colour

Pink is the new black in my world. It started by finding little ways to include it in my wardrobe: a pink lip here, a raspberry beret there. Going to Tallinn, a city that wears colour like it’s nobodies business, solidified my obsession. I used to wonder how to start wearing more colour, and then it happened so naturally!

Since I’m stuck indoors 23 out of 24 hours in the day, I’ve been trying to find ways to bring spring indoors. Most days I’m living in loungewear, but I’ve found wearing cute outfits are a great way to punch some brightness and positivity into the day! And, I’ve discovered that wearing pink makes me feel feminine and soft and sweet and happy. I was a serial beige, black and white wearer. White shirt and blue jeans are my go-to. So, here’s how I starting bringing pink into the mix, and how to start wearing more colour in general…

My Jewellery Collection

jewellery collection

I’ve collected jewellery more than I’ve worn it. I still have beaded necklaces I got as gifts when I was five years old. There are rings I’ve never worn, necklaces that don’t sit right and bracelets I absolutely cannot put on one handed so I never wear. But, there’s also pieces that fill me with nostalgia, or make me feel closer to my mom. Admittedly, there’s also pieces that I just think look cute. So, this is my jewellery collection in all it’s glory. My every day jewellery, my sentimental jewellery and, most embarrassingly, my jewellery storage.

Sondeflor Classic Dress Review

Recently I purchased one of Sondeflor‘s gorgeous linen dresses after seeing them on Instagram and falling in love. The Peter Pan collars, the swooshy skirts, the class of it all! I only splurged out on one because I needed a dress to wear to my brother’s wedding. I figured it’s worth the extra expense since it’s for such a special occasion. Plus, it’s made of linen, by a sustainably-conscious brand, and as long as I treat it right it should last a lifetime. However, it’s still quite the investment, and I wasn’t 100% sure it would be worth it. So, for any of you out there who are in a similar position: here is my comprehensive Review.

Arthur’s Seat Lit Up Yellow

*This post contains gifted items of clothing, both the coat and the jumper were gifted by Peregrine UK. Peregrine is a brand that I reached out to, to work with because they are Made in Britain, and use sustainable practices. They produce a really high degree of quality in their clothing!
I have been up Arthur’s Seat only once in my life. Situated at the tipy top of Holyrood Park in Edinburgh, it’s quite a little hike to get up, and, to be honest, I usually can’t be bothered. I go up Calton Hill every other week, and I regularly explore the other seven hills of Edinburgh, but I’ve only gone up Arthur’s Seat once. Today was not that day. Today we went up just high enough that we got a decent view, but more importantly, we got to get up close and personal with all the yellow gorse flourishing in Holyrood Park.

Sunny Days In Circus Lane, One of Edinburgh’s “Hidden Gems”

Sunny skies are a rare occasion in Edinburgh, and usually if they’re there, you don’t know they’re coming. It’s really unusual for me to be able to dress for good weather, but every once in awhile a few days of sun come along and I try my best to make the most of it! Otherwise I’ll have a wardrobe full of skirts, shorts, and dresses that never get worn. Luckily, I was staying on top of the weather last week and an opportunity to go to Circus Lane (in Edinburgh) and wear one of my favourite dresses on a day out with my friend arose!
