The NARS Wanted Palette Review

I’ve been on the hunt for an excellent peachy toned eyeshadow palette for awhile now. When Nars announced the Wanted palette I was instantly hooked. Luckily there was a VIB sale at Sephora right when it dropped so I got it with $20 off! SO HAPPY. Now let’s see if it lives up to all my hopes and dreams. Without further ado, I present my NARS Wanted Palette review.

Lip + Cheek Stain Review | The Body Shop

lnc

Here is my review of the Body Shops Lip and Cheek Stain! Necessary, because I haven’t had great experiences with lip and cheek stains in the past (I’ve ruined a few too many white shirts)… So when Emma Watson called out The Body Shop’s Red Pomegranate Lip & Cheek Stain*(affiliate link) as one of her favs in her interview with Into the Gloss, I knew I had to try it. During her press tour for Beauty and the Beast Emma Watson documented her favourite eco-friendly, cruelty free, and traceable beauty and fashion products through the instagram page @the_press_tour. Then, Emma Watson’s interview with Into the Gloss (Glossier’s blog) also highlighted all of her favourite beauty products.

I’ve been slowly going through the interview and trying out each product myself. Some are harder to find than this one – I had to hunt around on Amazon to get my hands on a tube of DHC’s Mascara. In the end I hope to have in depth reviews of these great products so that those of you looking to shop cruelty free and eco friendly in beauty know what you’re buying! Here goes The Body Shop’s Lip & Cheek Stain.

MAC Prep, Prime + Fix Review

p coverThis review is the last in a set of MAC’s favourite face products reviews where I looked at MAC’s Face + Body Foundation, and MAC’s Select Cover Up. Face products’ performance always comes down to what primer you’re using, which makes it one of the most important products in your makeup bag! People love MAC’s Prep, Prime + Fix Primer because it can prep your face and make makeup last longer, and it can be sprayed onto individual brushes to make face + eyeshadow colours appear more pigmented. Multi-faceted products like this are my favvvv because you get 2 for 1 cost, and they’re great for when you’re travelling! YES. Here is my MAC Prep Prime + Fix Review.

MAC Select Cover Up Review

cover c

Mac’s Select Cover Up concealer is one of my absolute favourite high-coverage concealer. On MAC’s website it’s rated at 4.5/5. After using it religiously for a few months, I can totally see why. I’ve been using this concealer for months, so I’ve tried applying it a few different ways and I’m finally ready to post my MAC Select Cover Up Review! If you’re looking for a high coverage concealer to cover redness or under eye circles, look no further.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder Review

The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder is a product that’s fairly trendy, and quite expensive. I bought the individual compact in the shade “Luminous Light” from Sephora in June. I won’t lie, it was a complete impulse purchase. I’ve wanted it ever since I heard about it in one of Zoella’s makeup tutorials (I’m basic, I know). When I saw it in the store, it was too pretty and glowy to pass by, so here we are. Unfortunately, when a big name like that recommends it, you’re still not 100% sure about the product. So, here is my humble Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder Review.

Shopping for Glasses Online

Shopping online for glasses can be a struggle. I recently purchased a second pair of glasses for ‘back to school.’ Basically, I bought my original set of glasses from my optometry office, they were hella expensive and hella generic and I wanted something more distinctive but I didn’t want to spend another $400. (Yikes – thank god for coverage am I right?!) Like all things that I want to buy for cheap, I looked online. Shopping for glasses online is not straightforward. Glasses also aren’t the sort of thing you can go ‘good enough!’ with. I found a few different eye glasses websites but decided to go with ‘EyeBuyDirect’ for a few reasons.
