Today I’m doing a little photo study and blog post devoted to one of my all time favourite places in Thunder Bay, the Mission Marsh Conservation area. As you may know if you’re following me on social media, over my fall reading week I paid a visit to my friend in Dublin. One of the top places on my list of things to do and see was Phoenix Park because hello??? Deer are my favourite animals! If you don’t know what Phoenix Park is, it’s basically Dublin’s version of Central Park – except it’s about 10 times as big, and is home to about a million different places to adventure and explore. Here’s my little travel diary from Phoenix Park, Dublin!
The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder is a product that’s fairly trendy, and quite expensive. I bought the individual compact in the shade “Luminous Light” from Sephora in June. I won’t lie, it was a complete impulse purchase. I’ve wanted it ever since I heard about it in one of Zoella’s makeup tutorials (I’m basic, I know). When I saw it in the store, it was too pretty and glowy to pass by, so here we are. Unfortunately, when a big name like that recommends it, you’re still not 100% sure about the product. So, here is my humble Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder Review.
Shopping online for glasses can be a struggle. I recently purchased a second pair of glasses for ‘back to school.’ Basically, I bought my original set of glasses from my optometry office, they were hella expensive and hella generic and I wanted something more distinctive but I didn’t want to spend another $400. (Yikes – thank god for coverage am I right?!) Like all things that I want to buy for cheap, I looked online. Shopping for glasses online is not straightforward. Glasses also aren’t the sort of thing you can go ‘good enough!’ with. I found a few different eye glasses websites but decided to go with ‘EyeBuyDirect’ for a few reasons.
An Introduction to Rodan + Fields
I’m not going to lie to you, I’m really not a skincare type of person. That’s not to say I don’t have my fair amount of issues with my skin. It’s incredibly sensitive, breaks out in eczema patches, I have chronic under eye circles, and constantly chapped lips. However, I’m convinced that anytime I try to play around and fix any of these problems, I always end up worse off than before. Michaela reached out to me to sample some of her products and write a Rodan + Fields Review, and I was relieved for the guidance she gave me! And, I’ll be honest, for the opportunity to see if these products work for me before having to buy the full product.
Fika is just one of the cute little cafes I ended up visiting while in Toronto way back in 2016. I loved so much that I had to share. I originally found the Fika Cafe in Kensington Market on a Buzzfeed article. Then, I visited in 2016, and now I try to go back anytime I’m in Toronto. It’s in a great location, right in the heart of Kensington Market! You can head there for breakfast and then explore the market or vice versa. Kensington Market just keeps expanding, and expanding each time I go. Luckily, there’s always somewhere new to explore. If you’re visiting Toronto for the first time, Fika Cafe in Kensington Market is a must!
