DHC Mascara Review

blog 8.jpg

Inspired By: Emma Watson’s Beauty Routine

Aloha pals! I closely followed Emma Waton’s Beauty and the Beast press tour through her Instagram (@the_press_tour) account. Her goal on the tour was to use as many sustainable, eco-friendly and cruelty free products as possible. She then shared them on her Instagram, and in interviews! It’s perfect because as much as I’d love to buy products like those, I have such a hard time finding affordable options! During her press tour Emma did an interview with IntoTheGloss where she went over her beauty routine and her favourite beauty products. I’ve decided to try a handful of them out and give you an in depth review of the product, it’s ethical benefits, and it’s affordability. On that note, here is my DHC Mascara Review.

MAC Select Cover Up Review

cover c

Mac’s Select Cover Up concealer is one of my absolute favourite high-coverage concealer. On MAC’s website it’s rated at 4.5/5. After using it religiously for a few months, I can totally see why. I’ve been using this concealer for months, so I’ve tried applying it a few different ways and I’m finally ready to post my MAC Select Cover Up Review! If you’re looking for a high coverage concealer to cover redness or under eye circles, look no further.

MAC Face + Body Foundation Review

f 1I first fell in love with MAC’s Face and Body foundation because it’s packaging looked so cool and professional. And… I wanted to be the kind of person who owned and used that kind of makeup (guilty!). I’m not going to lie, the first time I saw it was on Perrie Edward’s Makeup Tutorial, and I commented asking what she used because (obv) she looked like a dream. A lovely fellow viewer cued me in on the Face + Body foundation (and the select cover up, there’s a review coming for that too!). Ever since it’s been on my wishlist. I’ve been using it for months now, and I think it’s about time I posted an in depth MAC Face + Body Foundation review.

Grandma’s Peanut Butter Cookie Recipe

My Grandma’s peanut butter cookie recipe is, for obvious reasons, my go-to pick me up cookie recipe. I love love LOVE using old recipes that have been passed down generations. It makes the baking a more intimate and meditative experience in my opinion because you (after awhile) know the recipe like the back of your hand, and you feel connected to something or someone who might not be around anymore.

How To Style Monochrome

Monochrome – also known as all and only black and white, or all one colour, is a huuuuge trend in fashion for Spring. Dior (Ready to wear) and Calvin Klein (menswear) both had almost entirely monochromed, black and white, runways. And now I can’t type monochrome without giggling, it’s all too much! So, how to style monochrome? It’s fairly straightforward, once you get the hang of it!

A New York City Getaway

Processed with VSCO with m5 preset

There is nothing quite like a New York City getaway! At the very end of the winter holidays, my sisters, my mom and I jetted off to New York City to kickstart the new year. New York City holds a soft spot in all of our hearts. After years of mixing and matching on our trips there we finally all made it out together. We only spent three and a half days there, but they were – like always – jam packed. One day we walked over 25 km. That’s right, over 25 km in a city where there’s a cab on every corner. Never again.
