Karlie Kloss’s Apple Crisp

Karlie Kloss’s Apple Crisp – Review

Hi friends! I’ve been doing tons of baking lately, but unfortunately my mom and sister both have Celiac disease so they rarely get to try any of my treats. 🙁 Karlie Kloss to the rescue!! I remembered this video by Karlie, where she bakes one of her favourite recipes “Karlie’s Apple Krisp”, which happens to be gluten free! Woo hoo! Queue my review of Karlie Kloss’s Apple Crisp. Zoella’s Pumpkin Spice Cupcake Review

Who’s down for a little autumnal baking?! I used Zoella’s Pumpkin Spice Cupcake recipe, which you can find on her blog here. Her’s is based on one she found at (which is another website I love for recipes, though it can be a little hit or miss). And here, ladies and gentlemen, is my Zoella’s Pumpkin Spice Cupcake Review in which I answer your burning question: does it actually taste nice?  Zoella’s Pumpkin Spice Cupcake recipe is in the UK standard grams instead of cups, so the first thing I did when I saw it (weeks ago), was convert it all into cups using an online converter. Big issue: it converts them to amounts that can be quite difficult to use, like 2.8 cups… what does this MEAN? (I ended up using very rough amounts). Moral of the story: invest in cup sizes AND a baking scale. HAVE IT ALL. BE UNIVERSAL.

*Note: I have since invested in a baking scale, super cheap and super worth it.

This year I really wanted to make an effort to change that. All my favourite fall memories are from my childhood. Spending a day out with the animals on a farm, swinging on tire swings in a hay barn, pumpkin picking at a pumpkin patch, and going for a hay rides (and falling off)! All of this comes back to Pumpkinfest at Gammondale Farm. …

Pass Lake, Pearl and Ouimet Canyon

Thunder Bay has a lot to offer when it comes to outdoor beauty. In just one day, my friends and I were able to see Pass Lake, Pearl, and Ouimet Canyon. This summer I haven’t been able to do much traveling, but that never stopped me from having as many adventures as possible. A couple weeks ago my friends and I took a day off to explore some of the cool places we’ve never been before just outside of our city. Pass Lake, Pearl, and Ouimet Canyon are all pretty close to each other, so it was easy to achieve in a day! …
